About AfriQuip

Keeping Industry Moving

At AfriQuip, we believe industrial equipment shouldn't sit idle, gather dust or end up as scrap while another business is searching for exactly that same item.

Our mission is to make buying, selling and sourcing industrial equipment and parts easier, faster and more accessible. Unlike consumer products, industrial equipment is still traded through fragmented channels. AfriQuip brings buyers and sellers together in one dedicated marketplace for industrial equipment and parts across South Africa.

Built Specifically for Industry

Industrial equipment is specialised, high-value and often critical to production. General marketplaces were never designed for these challenges. AfriQuip was built specifically for engineers, maintenance teams, procurement professionals, workshops, manufacturers, contractors and industrial suppliers.

A Marketplace for New and Used Equipment

Businesses can list used equipment, surplus assets, spare parts, refurbished equipment, brand new equipment and new spare parts. Combining new and used products creates more choice for buyers and more opportunities for sellers.

Unlock the Value in Idle Equipment

Instead of gathering dust or being sold for scrap value, surplus equipment can generate additional revenue by finding a new owner through AfriQuip.

Helping Businesses Source Critical Equipment

AfriQuip expands the search beyond existing supplier lists, increasing the chances of finding obsolete, discontinued or long lead-time equipment and spare parts.

Making Industrial Equipment More Affordable

Quality used equipment allows businesses with limited budgets to access machinery at a fraction of the cost of buying new, while new equipment listings provide additional choice.

Supporting a More Sustainable Industry

Reusing industrial equipment reduces waste, extends asset life and supports a more circular industrial economy.

Built by an Engineer

AfriQuip was founded by a mechanical engineer with manufacturing and maintenance experience at Toyota and Tetra Pak after experiencing the challenges of sourcing equipment, long lead times and seeing valuable assets scrapped.

Our Three Pillars

  • Recover Value– Turn idle equipment into cash instead of scrap.
  • Source Faster– Find industrial equipment and hard-to-find parts from a wider network.
  • Keep Industry Moving– Support a more sustainable, connected and efficient industrial economy.

Our Vision

We aim to modernise industrial buying and selling, help businesses recover value from surplus assets, improve access to equipment and spare parts, support sustainability, strengthen South Africa's industrial economy and become South Africa's leading marketplace for industrial equipment and parts.

Keeping Industry Moving.

Why I Started AfriQuip

During my career as a mechanical engineer in manufacturing, I experienced the same frustrations faced by many maintenance and project teams. Valuable equipment was being scrapped despite still having years of useful life. Critical breakdowns were delayed because a single spare part couldn't be found. Companies often had exactly what another business needed, but there was no practical way to connect them.

AfriQuip was created to solve these problems by giving industry a dedicated marketplace where equipment and parts can find a second life, businesses can recover value from surplus assets, and buyers have a better chance of finding the equipment they need.

My hope is that AfriQuip becomes the first place people think of when buying or selling industrial equipment and parts in South Africa—and, ultimately, across Africa.
